Proposed Club Constitution Change
In the board’s opinion, the current membership voting rules, which predate the internet, narrow participation in the club’s growth. We are proposing the following change, which will be voted on at our September 10 membership meeting.

Current MGO Membership Voting Policy
New members joining the Club for the first time shall acquire voting rights 20 days from the date of their joining. Lapsed members of the MGO whose dues are not more than two years in arrears shall acquire voting rights immediately upon payment of the current years dues.

Proposed MGO Membership Voting Policy
New members joining the Club for the first time shall acquire voting rights 10 days from the date of their joining. Lapsed members of the MGO whose dues are not more than two years in arrears shall acquire voting rights immediately upon payment of the current years dues.
